The Bible says “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). Today I would like to share with you 3 amazing true stories on the simple act of giving hope and love to others. How Jessie helped to spread joy to other kids when she was battling cancer, how a church leader responded to the needs of foster children and how the poor people of Mizoram gave a handful of rice to others. I hope it will inspire you to give and bless someone today.
Jessica Joy Rees, fondly known as Jessie was like any 12 year old girl. She loves to swim, hang out with friends and shop. That all changed when it was discovered that she had brain cancer in 2011. However this brave young girl despite her own suffering, began to reach out to other cancer stricken kids when she saw that they were unable to go home but stay in the hospital. So she came up with this idea to stuff ‘love’ in a jar to cheer them up and that was how JarJoys started. Jessie has personally completed 3,000 JarJoys herself during her plight to bless other kids. Since then, more than 100,000 JoyJars have been stuffed to bless kids all over the world.
